New Norde are a power-pop quartet forged in the melodic grit of the New Hampshire Seacoast music scene. With a hook-first songwriting approach and vocals that never hide in the mix, the band blends candor, nostalgia, and jangly overdriven guitars into songs that hit hard and linger.
Formed in the fall of 2019, New Norde spent the next 18 months relentlessly writing, refining, and recording dozens of songs before unleashing their debut EP 'Whatever's Clever' (Trash Casual / Mint 400) in April 2022. From coming-of-age commentary to knowing humor, the EP's themes-growing up, getting out, and taking your time-deliver equal parts heart and self-aware punchline.

I’ve long been unclear as to what ‘power pop’ really means, but New Norde sound like they belong under that umbrella. It’s a simple, effective tune that sort of sounds like if Nada Surf and The Promise Ring had a baby. We dig it.
